Finding that perfect venue is a search that can take many, many months… even years, and let’s face it, with so many considerations to make, it can be a pretty daunting task. What’s your style? Australian Beach, Swan Valley Winery or maybe something urban? What about a private residence or maybe your favourite restaurant? Would you like it small and intimate or large and airy? We could go on!

Here at V.I.P. Lane, we’ve been apart of many fantastic wedding receptions over the years and in doing so, we’ve discovered and experienced some of WA’s best and most unique wedding venues. So to take some of that daunting pressure off you, Brides and Grooms to be, we sat down and collated all our favourite venues and have put together a 3 part series listing our top 3 WA wedding venues.

If you’re searching for that perfect reception place and need a little help, then glue your eyes to this blog, because over the next few weeks we’ll be bringing you some of WA’s finest.

To kick things off in the series, we couldn’t go passed Lamont’s Bishop House in the city. Nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of the business end in the Perth CBD, Lamont’s is a truly magical place. It’s the type of location you’d normally only ever think could be possible in fairy tales. But this historic venue is indeed real and we think, shares a likeness with the beautiful world of Narnia.

As you wander through the iron gates, you’d probably expect to see another accounting firm or marketing hub, but instead what greets you is an understated and elegant heritage listed building, perched at the top of a beautifully manicured garden. With large overhanging trees and majestic charm, Lamont’s manages to maintain a feeling of incredible privacy and intimacy, despite being right in the centre of the CBD. It really is an inner city oasis!

Great food, excellent service and ample parking across the road at the PCEC, combined with a stunning open air courtyard surrounded by the twinkling lights of the CBD highrise, Lamont’s has carved it’s place out as one of our favourite WA wedding venues.

If you’re looking for a sense of grandeur, majesty and historic charm then you really can’t go past Lamont’s Bishop House.

First Birthday Competition – Winner announced

Well, our 1st Birthday photobooth competition has now come to a close, but for 1 lucky person the fun is just beginning! From all of us here at V.I.P Lane, we’d like to throw out a big congratulations to the lucky winner Lara McVeigh – you’ve won a free photobooth hire valued at a whopping $1000! The prize also includes: a V.I.P Lane Hostess, full prop box and is available for delivery anywhere in the metro area. Good times are ahead! Once more, we’d like to congratulate Lara and we’d also like to give a huge thank you to everyone who entered and has shown their support, not only throughout the length of this comp, but also for the whole year. You guys are legends! Also, for those of you that missed out on the winning prize this time around don’t despair, we’ve got some more action for you coming up. Welcome to our second blog post here on V.I.P Lane and today we have some very exciting news! To celebrate our 1^st Birthday we’re launching a brand new competition giving you the chance to win a free 4 hour Photobooth hire valued at $1000. That’s right, we figured the best way to celebrate turning 1 was to give something back to our loyal followers, so our First Birthday Competition is born! As well as free 4 hour Photobooth hire, the prize also includes: a V.I.P Lane Hostess, full prop box and is available for delivery anywhere in the metro area, so whether your North or South, we want you to be a winner. The competition kicks off on Tuesday July 1 and will run for 2 weeks, ending on July 15.

So how can you enter? Well, we will be running the entire comp through our Facebook page so if you haven’t already, head over and ‘Like’ us so you can be alerted to when our entries are open.

After the competition has been closed, the Winner will be notified by email, so please ensure you put in your correct details when filling in the entry form. But until then, stay tuned to our Blog and to our Facebook Page for more info.

How close can you go? That’s the best thing about our open Photobooth; you choose the framing of your shot! You can come in close, step back, try something in the middle or whatever you like – so many possibilities. We love this “selfie-esque” style these girls have gone for!
